Product Care

Materials

Wood

A naturally occurring product, part of wood’s beauty is that no two pieces are ever identical. The depth, shade and grain pattern will vary with each item, which means your wooden bed frame will be unique to you. Because we use natural wood for our products, each individual piece of furniture has their own character with unique colouring, texture and grains. It is possible with solid pine furniture that the items may experience movement or some cracking during the product lifespan.

Faux Leather (PU)

Faux leather is an alternative way of getting the luxurious look of a real leather product. Faux leather is much easier to care for because it is a colourfast material which means that there are no problems if faux leather gets wet, and it can also be easily spot cleaned. Take a look at our faux leather beds and chairs.

Steel

Steel is a versatile, strong material that can be transformed into a variety of styles, which is why it is used in the production of Birlea’s metal bed frames. A range of different finishes can also be applied to steel to give varying looks for the perfect centre piece in any bedroom.

Bonded Leather

Using bonded leather in the production process is an environmentally sustainable method of production, which provides a durable material that retains its colour and patterning to produce a great look and a statement bed frame.

Finishes

Foil

Within our Lynx bedroom collection, all products have a foil finish. This is where a printed finish is applied to the base material to give a more uniform, modern look with a durable, easy clean finish.

Waxed

Some of our ranges have a waxed finish which offers protection for the furniture. To maintain your products waxed finish, please refer to the assembly instructions provided.

Painted

We use a variety of different painted finishes across our product range, including the epoxy powder coated Atlas.
